ME GROK HAS DOKS!

August 1, 2008

I apologize in advance if I’m stealing anybody’s thunder with this post, but why should we keep it a secret that ME GROK HAS DOKS! Much thanks to Uli Fouquet for setting up the reference docs using Sphinx!

These docs aren’t exactly finished or published yet. They aren’t the only docs either. This for now remains Grok’s documentation, and will in the future, as it contains a massive quantity of user contributed documentation.

  2. I quickly looked around references – yes I know it’s not final or anything – it it looks marvellous! This finally patches the old wound which has been in Zope. For example look the API documentation piece with example http://grok.zope.org/doc/current/reference/functions.html#grok-notify

Further if it’s possible one could have formal function parameter type declaration like in Epydoc. Thus one could do cross references and click around in the documentation to see what the objects (like event in the example) have actually eaten and what you can do with them.
